Did not realize that the Shuberts sold 50 tickets...my bad.
PS I was curious who the riff raff was in the theatre that night.lol
no problem. I made a mistake and I attacked bythesword without her ever doing anything to me and I apologize. There is no need to rant at eachother over stupid and petty stuff and I am sorry. I also didn't mean to jump down CJRs throat. It was an unclear matter and it's over with.

I have seen BKLYN several times including opening night. Every time that I have seen it the majority of the audience loved it. Maybe you want to read some of today's review's:NEW YORK MAGAZINE THEATRE REVIEW, Cindy Adam's column, Associated Press, Joan Hamburg. People who get it love it. I do.

Tiny,
You dont REALLY think the show is "amazing", do you???
I can't believe Simon liked Brooklyn.
Maybe in 12 years he will change his mind like he did with Sondheim.
Agony.

Simon doesn't like Brooklyn at all. He just accepts it for what it is. He seems very resigned about it.
Delphine-
For Simon that was a very positive review.
Jobs?!?!?! You mean like going to work and sitting at a desk or something? Whoah! That must be hard. I wouldn't know. I'm sorry. If I couldn't sit in my recliner all day watching TV and go to movies, shows, and clubs at night I would die!

Going a little heavy there on the sarcasm, aren't you, bronxboundexpress?

Actually no. I'm a college student. Most of my days are like that. I spend as much time doing that as I can while still getting excellent grades. (I'm gifted. I don't have to study that hard.) lol

Anyone who actually thinks John Simon LIKED "Brooklyn" needs to clean their glasses and take a reading comprehesion course. Look up the word "bemused" and try again:

Amneris, sorry I wasn't here when you posted your apology. Don't worry all is well.
People who get it love it. I do.
I know I love it when I get it!
Margo sweetie,
For Simon that was being sweet. I thought he would rip the show to threads.
For me the only thing I LIKED about Brooklyn was Ramona Keller and the rest of the cast. There is no question, they are talented.
But I really thought that the story (plot)(what plot) was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.
Simon is known for his acid tongue, this review had no acidity.
