Has anyone been in the Marquis Theatre yet??

Hi all,

I know Illusionists has begun its run at the Marquis. Has anyone been? I'm so curious to know what the inside of the theatre looks like after all of this renovation.

I'll be there today. Passing by the lobby looks untouched. The box office and backstage have been reworked. I'll report back about the inside of the theatre

I didn't read anywhere officially that the theatre inside was being remodeled, I simply remember people speculating here on the boards. Very curious!

The theatre is indeed untouched. Just the box office, backstage and the hotel lobby to the bathroom has be touched up

last time I was in there, there were some sketchy looking ceiling boards, short of a total revamp, not sure what much they can do with that auditorium, maybe if they ever do they should just strip out those ceiling boards and just put in some black acoustic paneling so it becomes more of a 'dark space' like Gershwin and Minskoff

I was in there tonight and did not notice anything different in the auditorium.

Well, the Nederlanders are cheap as most of their theaters (Simon) are in dire need of upgrades ...with the exception of the Nederlander which has been lovingly restored.
