How hard is it to win a single lotto ticket to She Loves Me? Or is it better off going for a balcony hiptix ticket?

I've won, but given how incredibly rarely I win ticket lotteries and given that I don't know anyone else who's won, I think you'd be better off going with HipTix to be safe. It's only $5 more expensive for HipTix, too, so I would play it safe and go that route if you can get a ticket.
I won a single ticket 2 weeks ago. I sat in Orchestra Left, Row C, all the way on the end. It was actually a fantastic seat (especially considering I paid $20). I'd keep trying for the lotto for at least a little while.
Funnily enough, after winning for She Loves Me, the next week I won the Fun Home lotto, and then the Matilda lotto a few days after that. It was a great two weeks for me, haha.
I won on a weekend matinee but I won Hamilton the same day so I didn't use it. I find I win lotteries a majority of the time when I want a single ticket (except Hamilton)

I agree. For a while I was entering for 2 tickets, and then when I switched to single that's when I started my winning streak.
Congrats on winning the Hamilton lottery, btw. I hate you.

I didn't't need to enter the lottery. I was with Corine and she gets comps.

I just lost but they offered me a $40 lotto lose seat. Has this happened for anyone before on Today Tix?

Hmm. Never heard of that one. I'd take it if I were you (fyi that's not me saying you should buy it, that's me saying if they were offering me that I'd buy it in a heartbeat. They didn't even send me an email saying I lost).

I won when it was still in previews. The seats were pretty far back orchestra.

did you request 1 or 2 seats?

1. I always enter for 1. This was the first time it happened. They said it was a special offer

I've gotten it for Fun Home a lot recently. Maybe they just started it with She Loves Me as well?

People have won it - I've seen comments on twitter about it.
However, I mentioned it at the box office when I was there about 4 weeks ago as I'd tried the lottery unsuccessfully for a number of shows in a week (I had already paid for tickets to see it 3 times!). The lady said that sometimes there are only about 4 tickets available on the lottery and they've a lot of entries per show. It's worth keeping trying but you can get rush tickets if that fails. The seats may not be as good, but any seat for this show is a great one, as it's absolutely delightful.

When do they announce the winners? I want to see the show either way, but the vague 2-4 hours before the show wasn't all that helpful...

4 o'clock is when I get notified usually.

Thanks slumdog, you're the best. Glad you got to see everyone last night!
No problem! I'm always here to answer questions for SLM :) I hope you enjoy it too! Make sure to report back, about TCP as well!

I wasn't sure where to report back, but I saw SLM last night (not surprisingly... I didn't win the lottery but it's okay). The show was great, I love that it was a classical musical, and the set was absolutely gorgeous. I don't understand why Gavin didn't get a Tony nod for this role, and Laura (it was my first time seeing her) was excellent and so was Zachary. They both played their characters very well. I enjoyed Jane too, and you could tell she was a crowd favorite. Overall, really enjoyed it and I would want to see it up close again but I don't think I'll get the chance before it closes.

The lottery results often come out "twice". For example, recently, 2 out of 4 of us lost the She Loves Me Lottery and were informed at 3 pm (for a 7 pm show) via email. The 3rd and 4th heard nothing. However at 4 pm, another email was set and one us then found out at 4 that we won and one of us lost. Obviously some of the original winners decided not to use them or didn't save them in time...so in that case, they must have saved a number of entrants names...so the next round of announcements came an hour after the first group.
That said, I have had personal phone calls from Today's Tix twice for Fun Home. I was originally told I lost via text/email hours before - but the call said that some tickets became available, did I still want them. This has been as late as maybe an hour before show time.

I entered and won a single lotto ticket for last Sat matinee, even though I was sure it would be a crapshoot. The email came at exactly 10:00am and at 10:20am I received a call from TodayTix to inform me and explain logistics, which was great because I hadn't checked yet, thinking I had till 11.
I think it's good customer service and a great touch. They called me a few weeks ago well after the lotto ended, perhaps about tix coming through, but I missed it. Definitely pick up when TodayTix calls you!
ETA: By the way, if you didn't receive an email, you can check your orders on the app and it will say "Check back soon!" or "You won!" or "Better luck next time!" -- something like that. Especially when 11am and 4pm roll around and you haven't seen anything.

This happened to me Sat too! I entered Fun Home and She Loves Me lottery and didn't win and then was offered 40 dollar tickets for BOTH shows! Of course we had already bought tickets for Fun Home so we couldn't take the offer up.
My question is how often does that offer happen? I'm going back in 4 or 5 weeks and plan to enter all the lotteries again but if I loose and can still get $40 dollar tickets through the app instead of having to go to tkts I would rather do that. However don't know how often that is offered.

I've lost this lottery more times than I can count - always for 1 ticket, and sometimes I share to social media to increase the odds. Recently they've offered losers a consolation seat, so I took them up on that today. It was $40 + $10 fee, so equivalent cost to TDF (where it hasn't been listed lately). The seat was third row mezzanine toward the side (CC 10), a very good view.
I liked the show, but didn't love it. The people around me seemed really into it.
I won it once but I ended up not being able to use it because I already had a rush ticket to Bright Star. I found out later that Laura Benanti was out that night so maybe I lucked out
