When Mr. Roxy shows up, he's the oldest. You can find cave drawings of him in Turkey complaining about the prices of tickets. No foolin'
I've seen it at New York City Opera at Lincoln Center with the original full orchestrations conducted by Paul Gemignani in the 1980s; the first film version on its original 1958 release; the archival film of Mary Martin in the original London production; and numerous other amateur and professional productions.

The actual live, real time performance (as opposed to a recording of a live performance) of South Pacific broadcast on Live From Lincoln Center, August 18, 2010, was the next best thing to being there. See Alan Alda get choked up just describing what was to follow.
This must be buried on a lot of DVRs. The whole original cast was reunited, except for Matthew Morrison, who gleefully declined.
