'First off, only one show is listed every night at 8 PM. Wasn't this supposed to be a 90 minute version? I see no reason to cut it down if it's not going to run 2 times a night.'
It's a rule, Vegas shows have to be 90 minutes or less (they don't want people away from the casino floor for any longer). It's along the lines of the buffets, they want people in and out as quickly as possible so they can be happy and then they can go back to gambling and losing money.
When The Phantom of The Opera went to the Venetian, it had to be cut and the production company only took it down to 95 minutes, they couldn't cut anything else without it taking from the show. Anyway, it caused them a lot of problems but in the end they got to keep it at 95 minutes, don't know what they did for those extra 5 minutes though.
