2 huge mistakes

#1- my class went on a trip to see the original cast of the producers and since i had a huge fight with the teacher going opted not to go

#2- my grandma told me to pick between seeing thoroughly modern millie (original cast) or oklahoma's revival...i picked the revival

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

Ah jonart!!!

Well, I just mentioned it to the teacher again today, and there are supposedly only 5 seats left, but of course French classes get senority, so that sucks. NOT FAIR! I am being deprived of my love of Broadway while a bunch of people (not all!) who don't appreciate Broadway get to see it...

Are these classes high school classes or college classes? I don't remember ever having the opportunity to go as a class to see a show when I was in either. re: Have You Ever Missed Out on an Opportunity to See a Show?

I didn't see "Assassins" because I couldn't get decent seats and just wasn't all that excited about the subject matter. There was so much else to see at the time I put it on the back burner. I just bought the OCR and am completely in love with it. I wish I could go back in time and take any seat in the house just to be there. What a magnificient recording!

Lesson learned. I will never again not see something because I could not get 'prime seats'.

Once on Broadway --

I had tickets to FLOWER DRUM SONG ( I am a fan of Rodgers and Hammerstein and had also wanted to see Lea) but the show closed abruptly before we could fly to New York.

Twice at the West End --

Mamma Mia!

I had tickets but had to give them away because my sister who was supposed to go with me fell ill and I didn't want to leave her by herself in the hotel.

Martin Guerre

The opening was postponed and I was refunded for my tickets...Eventually, I was able to see it on its second coming ( the show was revised).

Hey, I took weekend lessons at Alliance Francaise in Manila for two years but they never took us to any theatre shows ( we have an active theatre community here - as a matter of fact, I think a production of Beauty and the Beast has been announced)...We did have French film festivals and occasional lectures/exhibits on French arts and culture... and a Wine and Cheese Bazaar at Christmas time re: Have You Ever Missed Out on an Opportunity to See a Show?

One that I wish I could make so badly was the recent reading A Tale of Two Cities at the Little Shubert. It all came down to bad timing but still I wish I could have been there more than anything! (So it isn't a show on Broadway, but I've never wanted to see anything else more.)
