Just got an email about this: http://www.broadwayinchicago.com/renaissance_wicked.php
Seems very interesting, too bad they didn't have this when I actually cared about who was in the cast (ie. Ana Gasteyer). I wonder if they'll start this with the Broadway production.

I don't think so.
Apparently it should be there at least till 2009.

Other articles reported huge sales for 2006...but you never know, they could suddenly be dwindling (but it IS a sit down, and they only last 3-4 years anyway).

Well, according to the Tribune, David Stone now expects the show to run through Jan. 2009. Separately, it appears that producers really want Jersey Boys to be a sit-down in Chicago. I think the Wicked dinner is just a way to capitalize on the show's popularity.

Tickets are still going strong. This is a wonderful idea-- Feed the cast on Matinee day, a great tie in with the Rennaissance and probably budge a few more people to see the show. Brilliant marketing.
And FYI, the "January 2008" thing is just a way to prod people into buyign tickets NOW-- they used to say "January 2007" or "Summer 2007"...it's just a way to say it's not going to last forever, you ebtter buyt ickets. I can't imagien sales drying up so quickly-- it's only 6 months away.

Damn, why can't they do this with the Tarzan cast here? I'd like the Termite Tempura, Grilled Leopard with Mango Chutney, and the Bananas Foster (of course!), please. Anyway, that's a heck of a deal for $33, it would be cool if they'd start something like that in NYC even if it would become $100 a plate.
