Have shows broadcast live remotely on the Tony Awards

So it is my understanding that Hello Dolly wanted to broadcast their segment remotely from their own theatre for the Broadcast and The Tony's don't allow that. Has that ever been done before, where a show broadcast from their own theatre for a performance on The Tony's? I know Hairspray on The Oasis of the Seas did, but they are a crew ship production. Has any other performance been done that way in the Tony's history?

COCO chose to videotape their Tony Awards performance for their performance spot at the 1970 Tony Awards even though the Tony Awards were held at their theatre that year. As of 2017, this remains the longest Tony Awards performance ever shown at the Tony Awards.

CATS also did the videotaped performance thing at their theatre: the Winter Garden Theatre for the 1983 Tony Awards, which were held at the Gershwin Theatre that year.
