Having seen Sutton, I really want to see Haven and Sarah Jane Everman in this role. I heard a clip of Sarah on that site.

I liked Haven a lot. She riffed a little, not a ton as I have seen her do before in other shows. I also went with a couple of kids, so I wasn't paying super close attention. Her dancing was the weakest of the 3 Fionas- fine, but the other two were stronger. She was a bit timid with it. Also had a couple of line flubs but nothing major, just stumbling and jumped a line. Her acting skills were great all around.
I liked Haven's voice the best. I like Sutton, but have grown tired of seeing her play the exact same role in the past several shows I have seen her in (Millie, Little Women, Drowsy, YF). Seeing her do Don't Quit Your Night Job and break out of her usual mold is always hysterical and I wish she would do other things in theater.
Haven was a refreshing change and I'm sure anyone who saw her would love her as Fiona.

I am so excited that Haven is finally getting to go on as Fiona! I saw Sutton as Fiona three times, and Sarah Jane once. They were both amazing in different ways. But Haven always blew me away as Gingy! I'm really hoping that some videos will be turning up!
Also, I know that Sutton is going to be out from the 7th to the 12th, so there is a good chance that Haven will be going on again. I know that Sarah Jane was going to take a vacation as well, but I am not sure when she will be getting back. *fingers crossed*

Posted: 4/6/09 at 8:55pmI saw the Sunday matinee, and someone backstage told me it was Haven's first time as Fiona. I think she did a great job, a couple of the lines were ad libbed, but her acting and singing was great. I missed her doing Gingy, but she did great, especially for her first time.

Sutton is not thinking of stepping out of this role anytime soon, is she...?
I might have a chance to see Shrek in May or June, so I hope I get to see her. If I had enough money, I would love to see Haven, as well...from your comments, she sounds like a great fit in this role.
