I tried this and it worked great! You can buy in advance for any performance, for $25 as long as you have your student ID. I got dress circle (mezzanine ) seats!

Do you know if every ticket holder has to be a student or is it enough if the person buying the tickets has a student ID? It seems that one person can buy multiple student tickets.

The usual practice is that a valid student ID must be presented at the time purchase. After that, anyone can use the ticket itself.
