I think he's aiming for that "natural beauty" thing. Problem is, none of those people are of the correct type. You can tell the majority are actually way better looking but the unflattering/awkward way they've been made to pose and the way their pores and other unsightly details such as random, limp hairs getting in their faces, are sharpened to unsettling clarity levels that doesn't do 'em justice. Don't mean to offend, just offering constructive criticism.
