To my recollection, none of the MSG venues have ever been a member of the Broadway League (and thus eligible for Tony nominations).
This isn't a show that needed an out-of-town. It's the Rockettes. They are a New York institution. They come with a built-in audience. What they were trying to do was come up with a Summer show for the Rockettes. This way they don't have to wait an entire year for the lucrative Holiday season. They wanted a show for the summer tourist season.

Whether one agrees with them or not, it's hard to comprehend how the producers could have failed to catch what they thought was such a fundamental book problem before now.

Got this weeks Time Out New York in the mail, front page ad for the show plus the inside shows an entire list of businesses offering specials when you show them the ad, what a mess.
Looks likes first year I can remember when there will be no Easter show.

Not true, Roxy. The Hall's just been booked for a Frank Wildhorne concert on Easter Sunday. The show will feature a medley os songs from all his hits.
Wait a minute....Frank Wildhorne's never had a "hit"
Who's Frank Wildhorne?

Err, according to their website: Radio City Music Hall no longer produces the Spring Spectacular. Radio City last produced the Spring Spectacular, which featured the Easter Pageant, in the spring of 1997.

Poor Amanda Green can't get a break. She wrote the lyrics for the music that was composed by Tom Kitt, who is on a roll.

There hasn't been one since the late '90s. Memory can be a tricky thing, can't it?

Just walked over and returned my tickets.
I asked, "What if I couldn't make it back to return the actual tickets to the box office?"
"Then you have up to 1 year to get them back to us," I was told.
They will not refund tickets purchased at the box office unless you return them in person. Only tickets purchased online or by phone will be refunded without you needing to do anything.

That's ridiculous. When I've had concert tickets to shows that got cancelled, they just refund everyone outright. What could you possibly do with tickets to a non-existent show?!

People saved the tickets they had to Elvis shows after Elvis had "left the building".

Oh yes, I neglected to factor in the lucrative Rockette resale market for failed show memorabilia on eBay.

Exactly! Frame yours if you have 'em.

I have tickets from a last minute cancelled CHARO concert at the Rivera in Las Vegas. I wasn't about to kill 90 minutes to drive up the strip to park and walk through that casino to get a refund. I was able to scramble last minute to go to a different show. I called the Rivera box office the next day and they did it without the tickets.
Even still - there should be some way to return money for tickets paid via credit card without the patrons all coming back to the box office. The woman at the box office said that Friday morning they were selling tickets. The box office only found out about the show being cancelled when we did that afternoon!
Darn - so I returned the Heart & Lights tickets without thinking about the eBay resale value! hahaha

"Yeah, it is all the fault of Obamacare!"
You're slightly off. Obamacare is meant to be brought up as a distraction when mentioning anything horrible done during the George W. Bush years. Benghazi is the excuse when discussing anything anti-GOP during the Obama years.
This happened during Clinton's reign, so I forget what the appropriate callback would be... Monica Lewinsky's fault?
Wait, Charo is giving concerts?

She actually played the East Coast recently. A friend went without telling me it was going on. We are no longer speaking.
Meanwhile, what the hell has Mr Roxy been seeing when he thought he was at the Radio City Easter Show for the past almost-20 years?
Oh, he's been like that since he saw Rocky. It's like the orgasm won't end and has turned into hallucinations.

Rocky the show gives him orgasms, or Andy Karl does?
Well, Mrs. Roxy does have boxer legs.
So you are saying Roxy is now like the Terminal Man? In constant state of orgasm?
Maybe this will help:
"By the power of Wildhorn, I compel you! By the power of Wildhorn I compel you!
Oh, imagine if Wildhorn composed Rocky?!
Maybe he did, under the pseudonym of Stephen Flaherty. That would explain everything!
