Why does Heather have such a low profile? She's a Clive Davis protege' and she's a major talent.
Yet you almost never hear anything about her, even though she's got a new album.
With her talent she should be a major music star.

We lost interest, Heather. Go record another album. Oh, and how about tossing that Tony over to Audra, who deserved it and is actually pursuing a career on Broadway.

But you may be right about people having lost interest in her career. Lack of interest in this thread is a good example of that.
The career heat she had 6 years ago is totally gone.

No, I love Heather. But seriously, it's been a LONG time since she's been on Broadway, and she was the toast of the town in 2001. She should have kept that momentum while also pursuing a recording career (how long does it take to put together an album, anyway??).

I've been listening to her new album, and I like it---I don't LOVE it, but I like it. Very soul/r & b. haven't picked a favorite track yet, shich isn't a good sign, though.

Heather was on the Tavis Smiley show promoting her new CD. She was warm, charming and looked very beautiful. And does anyone in show biz have a better set of teeth?
She says she wants to return to Broadway.
It's refreshing to see a performer who doesn't constantly crave the limelight. But she may be a bit TOO low profile. I think it's definitely slowed her career.
Btw, I think she's put on just a tiny bit of weight. It looks great on her. She's still very thin. Just no longer twig thin.

Her album debuted at number 5 and sold 95,000 in its first week. I don't understand why so many are bashing her on here. I mean lots of Broadway performers put out albums and you never hear any complaints. She puts out an album and it is successful, so she continues to pursue that and she is criticized. She was successful on Broadway and now she is successful at this. So, for the moment, this is what she is choosing to do. What's wrong with that?
