Heather Headley Marries Longtime Beau
Thu Sep 11, 8:11 AM ET
NEW YORK - Heather Headley (news) married longtime beau Brian Musso at his family's home outside Chicago.
Headley, the R&B singer and Tony Award-winning star of "Aida," and Musso, a former New York Jet, were married on Sept. 6, RCA Records publicist Pamela Murphy said Tuesday. It was the first marriage for both.
The couple will live in the Chicago area, where Musso works with inner-city youth.
Headley, who also starred in "The Lion King," made her transition from Broadway star to singer with her album "This Is Who I Am."
She will make her film debut in "The Break Up Handbook," starring Jamie Foxx (news) and Morris Chestnut (news). She'll also have a cameo appearance in "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights," the record label said.
Both films are scheduled for release in 2004.

Don't wrap it up. I'll eat it here.
"Quite a piece" is such a refreshing phrase. Kudos.
'Quite a piece' is a great phrase.
But voiceanth, how do you know what his piece is like?

It's really taken from a scene in Madonna's "Truth or Dare" ..
One of her flaming dancers is talking..
and says...
"Oh, he's a piece, Miss. Thing"...
As I never forget anything that happens to, about or around Madonna, it became part of my very own vernacular..
Piece meaning not "A Piece" as in you-know-what but the piece as a WHOLE!

The blacker the berry
the sweeter the juice
i could say it ain't so
But, Darlin', what's the use
The darker the chocolate
The richer the taste
And that's where it's at...
...Now run and tell that!!
Congratulations Heather!

R-i-g-h-t. Not a "handsome man" or a "good-looking guy" but a "piece"--like a hamburger or a slab of beef. He could have the brain power of a nuclear physicist or an after-dinner mint but who cares, right? As long as he's a "piece." How impersonal and superficial and dehumanizing can you get?
From the photo, he is a handsome man.
But he doesn't do 'it' for me. There is something about him that reminds me of Guy Smiley (the Sesame Street Muppet).

Ha! Maybe he can get a replacement gig in Ave. Q, or do the tour?

He seems like a cutie.
Is that his High School Picture or something?
Those 2 will have some interesting looking children

If I may interject here....
I think "piece" may be a throwback to Shakespearean times when men wore codpieces to cover their family jewels. Hence, if someone has a nice "piece" he is obviously well-endowed in his nether region.
In this case, Heather's new husband is a great-looking guy. I wish them great happiness together.
