The show had been in development toward a planned out of town tryout at the La Jolla Playhouse around the time of the aforementioned concert at Joe's Pub back in 2010, but that production never happened and it seemed like the entire project stalled in the years since.
I know they're currently casting for a workshop happening in LA this fall, so it seems like the show's momentum may finally be back on track. The material I've heard is fantastic, so I hope they're finally able to get it on its feet.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
