Helen Mirren needs to win a Tony. it would be awesome if she won an Oscar and a Tony for playing Elizabeth II. :)
She was just nominated for an Olivier Award for this role.

But will this play have any interest for a Broadway audience?
John Major, James Callaghan and Harold Wilson will fascinate an American audience just as much as LBJ, Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter would a British audience.
Or is it transferring on the assumption that they would even pay to hear Helen Mirren read from the telephone directory?
In which case they may as well have transferred Phedre.
