The elderly/ younger woman (Jenny) that Helena played WAS The Witch in the folklore version of the story told by the children. Jeez, you guys need to be educated on Burton films!

I find it thoroughly amusing that it's not just HBC, but Alan Rickman and Timothy Spall as well. It's kind of like the HP movies all over again
I have complete faith that Carter will take Mrs. Lovett somewhere new and exciting. Will it be Lansbury? No. Will it be Patti? No. But after watching Ms. Carter spark life into the Mel Gibson Hamlet as Ophelia (she actually did some singing and was spot-on), I can not help but think that she will be a stroke of genius.
I was hoping for pictures too! I know HBC can act the part. She wasn't automatically cast in the part so I believe she had to be able to convince more than Burton that she could sing the part. I don't remember too much remarkable singing for Mrs. Lovett? Must be the heavy accent on Angela.
It will be interesting and definitely be acted well if not well sung. I can't wait to see the pictures!! Won't Rickman make a great Judge too! So many could have played any of these parts well. I am happy though with Burton's choices.
