Hello theatre friends,
Going to try rush Hello Dolly tomorrow and I am wondering if there are any reports as to how early to be there, now that Bette is back in the show? Am with friends who really want to get tickets so I wanna make sure we get there early enough!
Also, any reports as to what the rush seats have been like recently?
Thanks in advance!

Posted: 8/4/18 at 1:55pmI got two standing room tickets at 2:15pm on Wednesday. The matinee had just started. There were about 6 open standing room spots that weren’t sold at all.

I'm going rush Dolly tomorrow, but I'm not interested in SRO. What's the rush line look like during the week? If I got there at 9am, will I be at risk of not getting rush tix?

Posted: 8/6/18 at 2:28pmUnless there’s something I am unaware of, getting a rush ticket is most likely not going to be offered for a Bette performance. Rush tickets have only been for Donna and Bernadette performances. SRO is the only rush type/priced level ticket offered for Bette. Granted there could be something that I am not aware of but when I saw Bette SRO was the only rush type option.

Thanks for the heads up. All the rush info sites say there's a rush ticket for $39. Rats.

Posted: 8/6/18 at 4:28pmSorry to disappoint! However, I still would go to the box office and definitely inquire about it! You never know what could happen! Also, I know you stated you weren’t interested in SRO, and I completely understand the hesitation, especially if for medical reasons you cannot stand, however if you are able to SRO really isn’t too terrible, with the view being virtually unobstructed (with the only exception being one short scene in the first act between Cornelius and Barnaby on the second level of Vandergelder’s store). And for the price you definitely can’t beat it, especially if you haven’t seen this production yet! I was very hesistant about standing at first, but when all was said and done it really wasn’t nearly as uncomfortable as I had imagined it would be. Best of luck!

Posted: 8/6/18 at 5:06pmFor what it's worth, I saw an Instagram post the other day where someone got a rear orchestra rush ticket for $69 for the Saturday matinee. I haven't tried it myself, though.

Posted: 8/6/18 at 6:36pmHey there! I saw the show on July 24th and bought tickets for $69 on the same day at like 2:30. The seats were in the second row of the mezzanine (the view was obstructed during the Harmonia Gardens scene, I wasn't able to see Horsce's table, but other than that the seats were incredible). By the way, I had asked at 2 but they were only offering balcony seats in the very last row for $50.

Just an update on my experience yesterday. I went to the box office at 2PM and got an SRO ticket without a problem. Great view for a great price!

I believe the SRO tickets were around $50 at the beginning of the run. Is the price point the same now?

Thanks! I got a single SRO ticket with no problem at about 10:45 this morning. The whole SRO section seemed sold this evening, but I'm not sure at what time it sold out (if they sell house right to house left then I was one of the first to get a ticket; if it's the opposite then they would have sold out fairly early).
If anyone does SRO, I highly recommend hanging around in your spot during intermission! I was standing around when an usher asked if I was by myself, then proceeded to upgrade me to orch A107 for act two, which is right where Bette sings a lot of her songs in act two! I'd say it was well worth the $47. :)

Posted: 8/21/18 at 11:23amIf anyone's planning last minute like me.... I just rushed today - got to line right at 9:59 AM. There were about 20 people in line ahead of me, and I heard many of them buying 2-3 tickets at a time. When it got to me, they were completely sold out of SRO but still had rear balcony rush tickets for $49 each (box office told the guy ahead of me that there were 6 left after his).
