I do agree with a lot of what you said but man, oh man. I can’t get so much of this score out of my head. I need a cast recording yesterday. I do hope they do the work because it has got GREAT bones.

Man, oh man. This really has the makings for a really special new musical. First off, I’ve been a huge fan of Jennifer Nettles for years and I’m loving her branching out into theatre. Her Broadway album is amazing and she also was an incredible Jenna in Waitress. She has created a truly beautiful score and what a joy it was to hear a truly original score in an original musical that was actually very, very good. I saw it back in February and I actually enjoyed it more than the revival. It seemed to be the same production, but I will admit I didn’t remember it that much so maybe it was different and there were just similarities.

For what it’s worth, I know one person who saw it and said it’s wonderful.

I am very, very excited for this. Nettles is an incredible performer (she may have been my favorite Jenna in Waitress) and the music that has been released thus far has been very, very strong. Can’t wait to see this in a few weeks!

This production was such a disaster. I still can’t believe they never announced that they were closing early and just instead refunded tons of people and changed what day they were closing in the marketing lol

With it closing on Sunday, there are very few seats available. The cheapest option would be rush, other than that there are a few $159 partial view mezzanine seats.

I honestly don’t think there is a bad seat in the theatre. I sat three or four rows from the back of the mezz and the view was perfect and we could see facial expressions just fine.

I absolutely cannot wait to see this next weekend!

Pleasantly surprised with the ticket prices for this (at least.. currently, I’m sure they’ll get more expensive).

I’m not sure if it is because I saw Maya early in her run, but I wasn’t overly impressed with her. She was fine, of course but I expected quite a bit more from her. I wish I was able to see her again to see if her performance has changed. That being said, if it was someone’s first time, I’m sure they’d love her. She was by far my least favorite, though - but maybe my expectations were just too high.

$99 for standing room? I remember when I got standing room with the original cast for $28! 🤣

Why am I having anxiety about trying to get tickets to a show that I know will be impossible to get?

I don’t understand anyone saying there is no pay off at the end. It’s a beautiful little show about accepting loss and loving your life. I’m not sure what people expect lol
