Hello, Dolly Mexico?

I just came across a video on YouTube of a current production of Hello Dolly in Mexico and it looked eerily similar to the most recent broadway production. Does anyone know if this production is intentionally based on the broadway Production and whether Jerry Zaks or his associates were involved.

This one? (links are helpful)

If it had connections to the Broadway production, it would have been announced with great fanfare. And remember, the recent Broadway revival was heavily inspired by the original production/design. It looks different enough from the Broadway production to assume that nobody "official" (Scott Rudin, Jerry Zaks, Warren Carlyle, and the designers) was involved.

I don't know. I looked up some of their press and even their promos take a page of the recent revival.

Hello, Dolly Mexico?

Well I just found their twitter account and in the heading picture it says it’s choreographed and directed by Jason A. Sparks who was involved with the broadway production. That was easy! Haha.

The Broadway production was licensed for Mexico City. The sets and costumes were made locally which explains why they don't match 100 percent (but are pretty darn close) to their Broadway counterparts. The staging is likely identical.

EDIT: More video clips here. Pretty much the Broadway production with adapted production elements.

And the director, Jason Sparks (from the Broadway staging) specifically says how excited they are to be bringing "This production" of Hello Dolly to Mexico.

And starring Daniela Romo! I loved her from the telenovelas. She's like a big star there.
