I'll be arriving in NYC this weekend and will probably see between 7 and 9 shows while in town.
The last show I saw was Kinky Boots 2 years ago.
So far I have tickets for these shows:
An American In Paris
Curious Incident of the Dog
King and I
On the Town
I am taking a friend to see a few shows and I know he would like to see something humorous and hopefully very funny.
The shows I have come up with are
On the Twentieth Century
Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder
Hand to G-d
Something Rotten
Please advise!! (choose at least two)
Anything else recommended? ( I will make sure I see Fun Home also)
Thanks for your assistance
They're all great picks (although I don't see OTTC for another week) but I recommend Gentleman's Guide and Something Rotten. Two of my favorite shows currently running.

I would love to help a fellow Michigander, although I no longer live in the beautiful state .
Gentleman's Guide is very funny, entertaining and cheeky. You will leave with a smile on your face. It is not to be missed, especially if you like British comedy.
The same pretty much can be said of Something Rotten. It is also not to be missed, in my opinion.
Hand To God is very funny, and much different than anything else on your list, or on Broadway for that matter. I would try really hard to fit in all three of these.
One step below these would be On The 20th Century and Finding Neverland.
Here is how I would rank the shows you are seeing, and those you have mentioned as possibilities (with Finding Neverland thrown in). Even the ones toward the bottom of the list are very good, with the exception of On The Town, which I did not care for .... just my personal taste.
Curious Incident of the Dog
Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder
Something Rotten
Fun Home
Hand to God
King and I
An American In Paris
Finding Neverland
On the Twentieth Century
On the Town

Out of those I would recommend Gentleman's Guide. Fantastic show, it is hysterical. The cast are brilliant.
If you haven't seen Matilda, I'd put it at the top of the list.

If you type God as G-d, I wouldn't see Hand to God.

yknot, I totally missed that. So yeah, don't see Hand to God if you don't like religious humor...
I'm completely oblivious to what you mean by "dance card", but if it's dancing you're looking for, I would choose On the Twentieth Century. There is nothing more thrilling than watching those tap dancing porters do their thing the entire show.

I enjoy most humor and poking fun at religious rituals and beliefs etc. can be extremely funny.
I do believe in g-d though.

If you can't spell out god, I have a feeling you won't like Hand to God.

Nothing wrong with anything on your list but I would strongly consider Matilda and Finding Neverland especially if you have a difficult time getting tickets for some of your others... On the 20th Century would be something I might drop but that's me..

Wow! You're seeing some great shows. Of the 4 possibilities you listed, they are all worthwhile. You can't go wrong with any of them. If I had to rank them, I would probably go:
1.Something Rotten
2. Hand To God
3. Twentieth Century
4. Gentlemen's Guide
