Well I'm guessing he really was... but you never know with Patti. She has that type of sense of humor that can change a very devastating thing into something hilarious.

WELL, if she can prove Italian heritage via a grandparent she would be eligible for citizenship in the EU which would allow her to work/live in Europe as a resident w all the rights and tax advantages.

I'm sure Patti would know if it had to be a parent.

But I just don't understand.. I saw this on her site as well. But What are we supposed to do? How can we find him?

It doesn't make sense to me.

After reading the article, I'm still confused. The only way she can get an Italian passport for her child is if he was born in Italy or she had Italian citizenship. Her grandfathers status won't change a thing. I lived in Italy for 8 years and certainly understand why she would want to live there!!

Italian records are spotty at best, but it would be fun to try and find those records. Anyone heading to Sicily soon?
