MadAbouttheBoy popped this inside the Comet thread. I'm starting a new thread for him here.

Since this thread is already here, I might as well ask this: Is there anyone who can offer guidance or advice to a theatre novice who is very interested in buying (hopefully reasonably priced) tickets to this? Where do I begin? I see acronyms mentioned all the time (I still don't know what TDF is), but is some insider information on getting a good deal that anyone can give me? I am in the Midwest and would be travelling, so any recommendations for places to stay, eat, etc. are also very welcome! I am doing this totally spur-of-the-moment, so please bear with me!
I'll start you off with some discount ideas: you can find discount codes in many places. The two I start with are: BroadwayBox.com and TheaterMania. These are codes you use in conjunction with whatever ticket agency is being used for the show (ticketmaster, telecharge).
TDF is Theatre Developement Fund. They do many things including the discount, day of sales in Times Square. For those that qualify as a MEMBER, there is also a discount ticket benefit.
