Hi,

I'm going to be in NYC at the start of October and I was wondering if anyone heard any rumours about wether there'll be a rush of any kind for Betrayal? trying to plan which shows we'll be seeing that week.
Any other cheap ticket options are welcome, I already did my research and know the other rushes/lottery stuff.

Also; is it true you have to stand all day waiting for standing tickets for BoM? I really want to see the show but don't want to have to cut to much into the sight seeing time or the budget (for those of you that are gonna tell me to just buy tickets Help needed )

Thanks!

Rush policies are frequently not announced until the last minute, and may not be announced until the first preview. I won't tell you to just go buy a ticket to Book of Mormon because chances are pretty good it's already sold out. So if you want to see the show, yes, you will be in line all day for SRO.

Without knowing what other shows you want to see, there are tons of websites with discounts out there to check, such as broadwaybox.com, broadwaydiscounts.com, theatremania.com, and playbill.com (also on BWW too but hopefully you already know that).

Thanks!! was afraid I wouldn't know what Betrayal would do until I get there (arriving on the day of the first preview)
And I checked two *including this one) of those sites indeed, got nice tickets for Once and Newsies out of it, but still hoping for Rush and Lottery tickets since they are bit cheaper. But keeping an eye out nonetheless
Other shows we want to see are; Pippin, Cinderella, Matilda, Book of Mormon, First Date, Spiderman (we just want to know how the hell it is still running) and maybe Chicago and or Kinky Boots. (yes we are filling up every evening Help needed and is why we can't afford too expensive tickets)
Are the lottery/rush tickets for any of these shows really rubbish? if so might try to dig a little deeper in my wallet.

There you go. All Broadway rush policies. Do some research.

I did my research, I was just asking if anyone knew about Betrayal, and sneaking in a question if someone knew something that is not on the common websites.

Pippin (check asap)- the last two rows are $59 seats and it's a small theatre so it's perfectly fine, or you can try SRO for that show... otherwise, no discounts are available right now.

Cinderella- there are discounts out there, but don't just go for the cheapest, rear Mezz seats. The Broadway Theatre is huge so try for a discount or rush. (Odds are pretty good of getting a rush seat).

First Date- odds are also really good for rush seats; otherwise, the show has $35 seats in the balcony.

Matilda- pretty much has been selling out, and people have been lining up for SRO before 10 am.

Chicago- I did rush for this a few months ago; they are front-row or second row seats. If you do rush, ask for the second row seats because the first row is very obstructed but my view was fine in the second row.

Also, you can check Broadway Spotted for the weekly Rush Reports to see how early people have been lining up for shows so you have an idea of when to get in line.

Rush Report- Sept. 8, 2013

Thank you so much! Will try rush for Cinderella, First Date and SRO for Matilda. Going to check out those tickets for Pippin!
