Help with Topics for a new Musical

I need help...I want to write a musical, but I am having problems getting started with a topic to write on. I dont have a story yet and without a story or something to start ...I have nothing..


So what I want from you all is Suggestions...what should I write my musical about. What would you like seen done? Books, Historical events, Biographies, anything!

Books would be good place to start. Try going to Cliffsnotes.com and read the synopsises...synopsees...whatever of classic books and see what strikes your fancy.

Hold off until you find something that really moves YOU. If oyu don't feel that it's crying out to be musicalized, it probably won't be the best work you're capable of. So look long and hard for something that you love and want to do. Don't settle.

Think about things you've gone through. Or movies/books that really moved you. It's weird how inspired you can get from really obscure things. Check out the show Dead Like Me.
