Posted: 11/30/04 at 6:28pmi've always loved "forget regret, or life is yours to miss," and there's always the good old stand-by, "No Day But Today!" sorry, i'm not feeling very creative right now =)

i used a couple lines from MAKING GOOD, the cut wicked song, for mine. I have never heard the song though lol just liked the lyrics i read.
*Today I start my quest, to find my special destiny.
Be more than just the best I could,
Ill Be Making Good!*

I used a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson in mine, but I had considered using "Move On" from SITPWG or Wicked's "For Good" -
"it well may be that we will never meet again in this lifetime so let me say before we part, because i knew you i have been changed for the better"

I agree with Broadwaytheatre11...use something that is special for you pertaining to high school-inside jokes, quotes of friends or funny things people have said. Stuff you all ahd fun doing. Examples some of my favorite high school quotes:
"Someone has a line here and it's not ME!"-said by everyone involved
@ one point or another-basically sums up mentality of fall play
"People who make lofty moral judgements without sufficient supporting detail are pretentious asses"-said to a teacher by a friend while whole class goes wild cheering
MANY MANY MORE I mean they might not be that funny or insightful to other people out of context but I read them and they make me laugh really hard and remeber moments..if ou think a quote from a show can do that for you then go ahead

Something that means something to you.
Whether it's Rent or Wicked or something completely new/random.
I think it's the kind of thing that only you can figure out for yourself.

Hmmmm........From Into the woods :)
Opportunity is not a lengthy visitor.
Every knot was once straight rope.
Oh if life were made of moments, even now and then a bad one, but if life were made of moments then you'd never know you'd had one.
Just some thoughts :)

My personal favorite quote from "Into The Woods":
"Best to take the moment present as a present for the moment."

It's kind of long but my favorite line from Rent has always been
"I can't control my destiny, I trust my soul, my only goal is just to be."
actually after writing that it sounds much more choppy on paper then when it's sung.
