And teleprompters? Geez how distracting. And how insulting for the actors to have their lines spoon-fed. Ugh.

Teleprompter was reeling off Kilmer's lines -- to his credit, he wasn't using it all the time. But then again, he muffed lines on opening night and was making up lyrics that weren't on the screen at times, too. He cannot sing. And there's no way his voice (what there is of it) is going to last through 8 shows a week.
Alisan Porter was quite good as Miriam. Also good (singing, anyway, as no one got any chance to act in this lumbering load of bollocks): Adam Lambert as Joshua (definitely the crowd favorite) and Nita Whitaker as Zipporah, who has the misfortune to marry Moses.

First of all I must say that people are going to hate what they are going to hate. It's no business of mine to tell you what to enjoy...but I ask to please refrain from saying things such as "the cast was exiting with heads low" or " no one looked proud at the party" Whatever you want to make up is your choice, but in my many years of experience I've never worked with a more talented, more professional OR more proud group of performers.
Also to say..."the poor actors" Well, we are all pretty darn proud to be working on a production contract in Los Angeles. Will it run? Who knows. But you must know that everyone involved is 100% commited to doing the best work they can do. For in the end that is our job and we leave the rest for others to deal with. I just had to let whoever reads this know that this cast is very proud of all the hard work that went into putting this monster up and no one is embarrased in the least. Take care all...

In a way I felt sorry for Mr. Kilmer. He was so wrong for this production it was ridiculous. He has a pleasant voice when singing by himself -- but when you put him next to Broadway stars like Kevin Early, he is obviously completely out of his league. It becomes sad. Then to top it off with a teleprompter, it then turns into a bad karaoke performance. I am much older than Mr. Kilmer and can still memorize a script and music is even easier.
The score was dreadful! There may have been one decent song in the entire show.
The singers, however, were excellent.
Especially Kevin Early, Adam Lambert and Alisan Porter. The dancers were fine as were those who had solos like Spring and Mark Luna.
I was impressed with the multi-media and lighting. The special effects were a bit much and sitting so close to the stage, I thought I would end up a casualty of the wrath of Moses!
P.S.: I had to explain the whole story of Moses to my daughter after the show. Especially the Britney Spears dancing in the desert.

I appreciate what you are saying. I have to tell you that while your group might be very proud of having a production contract in LA ( something that is not unusual); and you are all bonding from having to go thru this experience together; - I do hope tha for your sanity and your own perspective; that you are aware of what a turkey this show is. I am not trying to be mean. I just know you will take alot more out of this experince if you are approaching it in a honest way. The show is horrendous. And by the way the reviews have just started coming out and they agree. Congragulations on being a working actor in LA. Hpefully you will get lots of good stories to tell from this experience.

Be proud that you are working and be happy for the experience. I saw the show opening night. It was not a pleasant thing to sit through.

I mearly posted what I did because of all the comments being said about the actors being embarrased and "covering their heads while leaving the stage door". Nothing could be farther from the truth. Perhaps you would like to imagine that that would be how you would feel if you were in a "turkey", But this cast does not.
Yes I have some very great stories to take away with me and I'm alot richer right now then I was at the beginning of the summer.
all for now
