Anyone know if they have yet made any changes to the show? I know they are planning on making some after the Boston run, but have they done any in Boston? I'm interested in the transformation it makes.

I've seen it twice so far and haven't noticed any changes (although the first time I went was opening night... they may have made changes during previews).
However, they did fire Katy Mixon (Liz/Jackie) and moved up her stand-by, Rachel Stern. Rachel is fabulous in the role.

What was the deal with Katy Mixon then? Why she get fired?
Her standby (now principal) was good though.

maybe it was like a Jack Noseworthy thing. no one mentions her attitude and then call it "creative differences" instead.
at least thats how Jack was.

Posted: 10/23/06 at 4:20pmI saw the final performance last night, and I am pleased to inform everyone that this show is ready for Broadway. It was excellent. The lyrics were clever and funny, the book was outstanding, and the actors seem to have grown into their parts since the first reviews on this board. The show ran smoothly and in my opinion, it could open on Broadway today and do great. However, at the stagedoor Jenn Collela (sp?) said they're most likely cutting "Wonderful Love" and re-adding the very first song written for this show. I forgot what it's called and who it's written for however. I wish this show the best of luck on Broadway, and everyone should go and see it because you won't regret it.

Posted: 10/23/06 at 10:50pmI really wanted to go to the stagedoor after I saw it last week, but I couldn't find it...where is it? I'm planning to see a few other shows at that theater in the near future and I'd love to stay after if I could find the door!

Posted: 10/23/06 at 10:54pmThe stage door is in a little alley around the corner. Exit the theater and take a right. Turn right when you get to the dunkin donuts (at the end of the block). About half way down the block is an alley. That is where the stage door is.

Posted: 10/24/06 at 3:52pmThanks for the stagedoor info! I wish I would have asked before I saw it...but I'm pretty sure Altar Boyz is playing there in a week or so. Totally off topic, but is stagedooring okay for touring shows or do the actors just think you're weird if you wait?

Posted: 10/24/06 at 4:12pmI saw the show in Boston on Saturday. I thought it was really great, full of energy, but I do think that Jen Collela was VERY boring. They might have to make a change there....

during the boston run, they changed the show A LOT. I know when I saw the show on thurs 10/19, they performed a brand new opening number that they learned that day. And the night before, Jen Cotella performed the song "Let's Order In" for the first time, which she had also learned either that day or the day before. There were also other changes, but isnt' it insane how the actors, stagehands, and everyone involved in the production can learn a new number and perform it less than a day later?
By the way, the show is awesome... the set is incredible and Will Chase is outstanding!

Posted: 10/24/06 at 4:55pmYeah, my hats off to them for their hard work. I hope it pays off. I guess when you spend 8 hrs a day learning a single song, it tends to stick with you quick.

Posted: 10/24/06 at 10:13pmThey really do work hard. I was talking to the guys in the orchestra the night after they made all the changes to the first act. They had been there all day practicing and they were deciding whether to be there the next morning for practice at 7:30 or 8 a.m. The show didn't even end until 10ish that night.
