Posted: 8/17/04 at 4:44pmSorry, MyNameinLights. I find LuPone to be intolerable. And Ms. Lansbury is forever my Mrs. Lovett.

Posted: 8/17/04 at 5:33pmI'd love to seem him as Leo Bloom in THE PRODUCERS. Based on his performance opposite Tony Shaloub in the short-lived sitcom STARK RAVING MAD, he'd be perfect.

I LOVED him in Assassins. He has such a pure voice. I think he made a wonderful Balladeer! Considering how much you have to hear him, he makes a wonderful, expressive narrator.
...that and he is cute as a button!

Posted: 8/17/04 at 8:43pmI think he should just take up permanent residence in NYC, and just go into which ever show I feel like seeing. Now that would be heaven...

Posted: 8/17/04 at 9:06pmWho said that he sucked? All of what I have heard about his performance has been positive. In fact, when I saw it, he was quite good.

I loved Lupone's Lovett!
And the OBCR and the Concert version are both spectacular for different reasons. Lansbury is the better Lovett, but Hearn is the definitive Todd.
And NPH was fantastic as Tobias.
I would have given anything to see Baranski as Lovett. She is a treasure. And BSM as Todd, too.
God, I love this show.

Posted: 8/18/04 at 10:53amWell, he was on Regis and Kelly this morning! He has now moved to NYC! That's always a good sign. So hopefully more broadway is in his future. He is also going to Las Vegas this weekend to be on celebrity poker. So he will be on tv for that soon.
