As most of you know I work for Pocono Playhouse and I am very proud of the work that we do, but now I have seen everything:

This is Pocono's first season in many years with a "huge lineup of stars" and they are doing everything they can to hype it (even an overpriced lunch with a t.v. actress who probably won't even be speaking to the people there).
Just let the actors do their job.

I am a member of the younger generation and even I know who she is.

Posted: 6/5/05 at 12:55amOk, I kind of feel bad for not knowing who the heck she was. Don't tell her we didn't know :0)

Yeah, me too--my response was "Who?"
If she's mostly known for daytime, then she's just NOT that well-known!

Sorry, don't know her either.
I'm 27. Do I count as "younger"?

Not to be offensive, but if I were her I wouldn't be bragging about Bring Back Birdie. Wasn't that one of the biggest flops in Broadway history?
EDIT: Bring Back Birdie ran for 4 performances on Broadway. Also, Colleen Zenk Pinter is not listed anywhere in the cast on IBDB

Posted: 6/5/05 at 3:51pmTrp, You can't even imagine how horrible that show was. Donald O'Connor stopped the orchestra in mid-song one performance, looked at the pit and said, "You sing it. I never liked this song."

Pft, I couldn't care less if I don't know who she is. And I don't.
Does she know who I am? Huh? Huh?

Posted: 6/5/05 at 6:32pmTo those that have PM'd me. I mean no offense to the management of Pocono Playhouse. I just believe that this type of promotion is overall bad for the theatre. Let the stars do their jobs and let the audience appreciate it, but do not add a cheese factor to your promotion which makes it almost a laughing stock.
