My family is heading to NYC 12/28-12/30. With 3 younger girls we've already purchased Anastasia tickets for the family, but we'd also love to see OOTI while we're there... I've seen several posts suggest this is one of the busiest times on Broadway, so I'm pretty worried that TKTS will not offer OOTI tickets those days. Any opinions on whether or not OOTI will be available at TKTS that week or any other options to find discounted tickets for 5 while in the city? I'll ultimately bite the bullet and purchase if consensus is they wont be available, but with a family of 5 we're trying to save every penny we can for at least 1 show. Thanks!

Thanksgiving is another crazy time and the show didn't sell out then... usually, your best bet is to go play their lottery and, if you lose, they usually offer lottery loser seats for only $10 more.

I'd just ask if they would be offering lottery loser seats, and if so, go for it.

If you win, I'd just let other winners line up before you, so that you're last, and then say you won two/four tickets, and need three/one lottery loser tickets, too, and they should be able to put you all together, or at least break you up in two groups with an adult in each.

If you rather TKTS, that would free you up to not be hanging out and killing time for lotteries and such when you could be doing other things...

Apparently OOTI stopped their lottery and replaced it with a rush policy so I’d check if they’re doing it anymore so you can figure out another plan!

It's closing the following week so there's always the risk of people wanting to see it before it closes boosting attendance above what it would have been normally but as far as TKTS is concerned, I think the odds of them having it are in your favor.
