You've probably seen the previews/billboards/trailers for Disney's latest animated musical "Home on the Range" - opening on April 2.

The songs are by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater, and the cast includes theater vets Judi Dench, David Burnham, Jason Graae, and Gregory Jbara!

Also interesting - This will be Disney's last traditionally animated feature film. All future animations will be digital.

I'm kind of excited about it. I hope it doesn't suck!

No, this is not the final feature animated film. Their 50th film will be the final one, hand drawn, to star Mickey Mouse.

However, their next eight projects are CGI/digital.

HOME ON THE RANGE looks...average.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
