I agree that the people who really like Honk are those who have been in it. I was Maureen a few years ago and it is a fun cutesy show to do, but I wouldn't list it among my favorites. I did enjoy it while I was in it, and would definately do it again.

P.S. How did the whole catlove thing work when the cat was a girl? Was Queenie a guy, or did you have a controversial director?

My guess would be that "Together" was cut. As it should be.

There's no Queenie!! A lot of people were cut. Lowbutt, Maggie Pie, people like that.

You better come to mine, AudreyTwoTwo.

"Honk!" is an alright show -- nothing spectacular, but not bad. The humor, especially all the puns, can get irritating. One review (of a local production) put it this way:

It’s a “punny” little world we live in. Great musicals are as rare as hen’s teeth. Finding the right show for an intimate evening can be like going on a wild goose chase, and while [the company's] recent production of “Les Miserable” was grand enough to have been the director’s swan song, his most recent effort, “Honk!,” is just ducky too.

If the above paragraph had you in stitches, then “Honk!” will likely rank as one of the best nights you’ll ever have in a theater. This adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling” is high on style, short on substance. The theme is familiar, if welcome, and the story simple enough to be told in 2 minutes, yet it stretches well into its second hour, powered by easy jokes and a spate of wordplay that plunders every waterfowl pun in the English language.

Rentgirl- sorry about the late response.

Yes, I did sing Grace's high parts ("Though of course I'm rather grander" and "You're back on the lake, promise you won't leave"). As for the red band, I simply used a red bandana- as long it's red and a piece of cloth, it's good. In "Poultry Tale", I was on stage for the entire song, but when it came to my line, I simple pushed away those around me to sing my line. It added a bit more pomp than simply just entering the song on that one line. Any other questions, feel free to PM me.
