Yeah it actually seems fun at first, that is when you are still inside the theatre. But once you get out and have time to reflect, you'll go like "WTF did i just see?!". I don't mean to hate but it really is an utter waste of time. Mind you, my standards aren't even that high as opposed to the ones by the very discriminating theatre afficionados on here.
You are just going to get mad at yourself for giving it the time of day, I swear. I am still trying to make peace with myself by trying to find something positive that came out of my experience but there just isn't any. I didn't even pay for my ticket for chrissakes! How couldn't I have not enjoyed it?! I even felt like I've lost something.

This is somewhat silly - did you enjoy yourself in the theater? Why over analyze any experience - this show is hardly a probing drama, life alternating experience or a thought provoking piece of any sort. Think jukebox, dance and that it is supposed to be fun. If, for you, it was a waste of time, then take it on face value and be done. If it was fun at first, when did it stop being fun? When you left the theater?
I have seen some really terrible theater both on and off Broadway. I for one love live theater and unless the entire cast is inept, try to enjoy their efforts despite the vechile that carries them into that space in time.
Besides you didn't pay for the ticket!

Has anyone who has gone sat in the front row?
I bought one of the $26. 25 front row orchestra tix in advance- there has to be a good reason they're priced this way... Am I going to break my neck?

Posted: 4/22/06 at 11:34amI sat in the front row for the first preview. The seat was excellent. They should be charging full price for those seats.

I bought a front row ticket for next week as well...am eagerly anticipating this one.
Trace: Do you remember the run time of the show? Thanks in advance!

Posted: 4/23/06 at 11:02amI saw one of the first shows in DC and it ran at about 2 hours, 45 minutes. Maybe they have cut it down since then though.

Posted: 4/23/06 at 11:28amI saw Hot Feet at the Sat. matinee. It's really a Vegas show more than a Broadway show. There's not a lot of book now, and act 1 is only an hour long, so I assume a lot of book was cut, as that was the main problem in D.C. The choreography isn't distinguished, but it's energetic, and the dancers are attractive...so what the hell, I had a good time. I frankly think it has more entertainment value than a lot of the higher profile shows this season, although I realize that's not saying much. And yes, I think it'll probably get a choreography nomination, but probably not much else.

I just got a ticket to opening night. I have seen the show in workshop so I am curious to see what changes have been made. I also want to see who shows up in the audience!
The whole thing should be fun.

I'm just curious, why is there absolutely no buzz about this show? The choreography is energetic and the dancers extremely talented, yet no one is talking about it.
Is it because there are a lot of shows opening right now?
