I dunno about the extras, but some of the film's stars are still riding its wave. This summer, a screening tour that commenced with the 40th anniversary in 2013 continues with dates in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island (so far).
Each evening includes a screening of a new digital print of JCS optimized for listening and viewing pleasure, a Q&A and/or costume contest (I've heard about both on different stops of this tour; in the event of a costume contest, one can show up dressed in generic hippie garb or specifically as one of the film's characters, and they get cool swag for the best costume), a sing-along during the screening, and a meet and greet with the original cast (where pictures can be taken and items will be signed) after the show.
