How Long do you think Spring Awakening is going to last?

Based on how it has been doing...... 60 and 70% Capacity isn't enough for a show to last. And please do not get mad at me if there is an obvious answer!!
Thanks

525,600 minutes.
No, seriously.

Well, if my calculations are correct, then all of the RENT HEADS will need to turn to something once it closes tonight (thank god!). My best guess is they will become converted Guilty Ones. SPRING AWAKENING could see a stronger fan base in the next week or so.
Kill me now.

TDH, just go crawl under a rock
I don't think it has much life left monkeybutt, but let's hope that with rent closing and it being on 90210, it will do better soon

I think it'll close in the winter sometime...unless they see a huge spike in sales due to the closing of RENT or a lack of really good new musicals this season or some kind of stunt casting...
But I don't think it'll be around this time next year.

Posted: 9/7/08 at 2:11pmI think sales will pick up drop during the fall but pick up during the winter. I also don't think that fans of Rent are going to flock to Spring Awakening just because Spring Awakening is another rock show. That's like saying a huge number of women is going to vote for Sarah Palin just because she's a women and Hillary isn't running anymore.

Stupidbeans is freakin' hilarious!!
BTW if TDH is the Osama Bin Ladin of the Broadway world, why does he keep popping up?!
That Osama knows how to play a mean game of Hide & Seek.

Mastachen, I agree.
And I know the show is being reviewed in November-ish now that the cast is all new... And a LOT depends on the review. Of course if sales don't pick up, that won't be a good sign.
I'm a RENThead. I like Spring Awakening. But I'm not going to start seeing SA a million times just because I can't go see RENT anymore.
Mostly I'm going to lay in my bed and cry. And all this RENT closing stuff all over the site is just making me sadder. I lotto'd today. Failed.

Okay. I understand the show means a lot and holds much importance but it's a show. You're actually going to lay in your bed and cry for the rest of the week, because a show closed???
I don't even have the time to do that with work and family...
this is nothing against RENT. I just think soo many people are overreacting. It's ridiculous!
I've been sad when a lot of my favorite shows have closed. When my Broadway idols have passed away. So on and so forth.
But life goes on! No need to curl up into a ball and sulk. What does that accomplish?
It would be entirely different if we were talking about the death of a relative or pet. It's a show.

Posted: 9/7/08 at 4:19pmThey need some major stunt casting, much more high-profile than Hunter Parrish (as wonderful as he is, he won't have a lasting effect). Or... reality show?

TDH, for once I agree with you. I have loved my share of shows and been sad that I won't be able to go see them again when they closed, but I fo on with my life, happy I got tho experience them for a little while. All this talk of laying around crying and moping? A tad extreme IMHO.
LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!

Posted: 9/7/08 at 8:35pmIf it does close in February (which is highly possible) I highly doubt they will announce it in January. They will make every last buck out of people coming to see it before it closes, they would be very stupid to make the announcement in january.

Sorry, stupid question: what exactly do you mean by it being reviewed again? By the press? By the directors? Is that something that always happens with shows after they've been around for awhile?
