I didn't enjoy the show when I saw it during previews with Radcliffe/Larroquette, but a friend of mine begged me to go see the show and I finally gave in.
I must say, the show was in much better shape, and the new cast was far superior:

-Nick Jonas added a lot of sex appeal to the character, and a certain personal touch that worked better for this role in my opinion, and his singing and acting were great.
-Beau Bridges was far superior than Larroquette and much funnier and endearing. A real treat.
-Michael Urie was hilarious and I also enjoyed his performance much more than I enjoyed Christopher Hanke's.
-Rose Hemingway was adorable and much more comfortable in the role than during previews.
-Sara Jean Ford was great as Smitty. She has been working non stop on Broadway! Congrats to her.
-Tammy Blanchard, she truly gets comedy, a top notch performer. Her Tony nomination was well deserved!

Glad you enjoyed it, I saw the original cast and thought they were very good. Unfortunately, the new cast could not attract enough box office to keep the show open.
