How are these shows during the summer?

I am looking to rush Chicago, Avenue Q & Hairspray during my NYC trip in Juky. Can someone tell me how rush is during the summer for these shows? I'm sure Q and Hairspray will be packed, but I wanted to check with you guys. Is Chicago one of those shows where you can still get rush 30min before the show sometimes?

Dont' know about the rush, but with the school theater discount (schooltix.com) I'm always able to get 3rd or 4th row center for around 60 bucks about an hour before showtime.

Q and Hairspray are two of the easiest lottos to win. So I've heard.

Hairspray is pretty easy but every time I've tried, I've lost Avenue Q's lotto. And this was in winter months, but maybe I'm just unlucky.

Unless it's dropped off tremendously, Avenue Q is hard. Not Wicked hard, but they only have 12 seats max and there are always (the times I've tried or walked by) well momre than double the number of people that they have seats for.

Hairspray I have not found in the summer to be as easy as everyone says. I had to play 14 times last summer (weeknights as well as weekends) before my name got drawn.

Still, anything's easier than Wicked lottery-wise. At least for now.
