I decided to buy a Playbill binder, as well as a ticket stub binder, around the holidays last year. I'm still struggling to find an adequate storage system for all of my Broadway and concert programs, though. It'd be a lot easier if the KISS concert program wasn't unusually large, might have to rule out using simple binders because of it's size. Also not sure how to organize my other souvenirs such as key rings, magnets, etc. as I usually like to separate items by show (without damaging them). Any advice would be appreciated, and feel free to post photos of your storage methods as I not-so-secretly would love to see your collections!

Other than magnets which we put on our fridge, we do not buy anything else. Gave up on t shirts awhile ago. Never buy books or posters or anything else. Used to buy CD's of every show. We are more selective now.Playbills go into a storage facility.

Interesting! It sounds neat to have one specific collection and stick with it. If I really, really like a show I'll feel the need to buy just about everything in sight..otherwise I do only buy a program and maybe the CD.
I'm with you on t-shirts/apparel. I'll be honest I did cave and buy a Wicked track jacket the second time I saw it because it's pretty sweet, but other than that I've learned that t-shirts end up fading or being thrown out eventually. Lost my glowing Phantom mask t-shirt from ten years ago, and my t-shirt from the first time I saw Wicked is so old and baggy now that I couldn't bear to wear it out in public anymore. To this day I still beat myself up over choosing to buy a lousy t-shirt instead of a program at the time, ah well!

I usually only buy the souvenir brochure and keep my playbill. The playbills are stored in a plastic container and the brochures in a seperate larger container so they can lay flat and not bend. That's about it. Nothing fancy.

I do not buy a ton of stuff (never really did) .There is an old saying " You can't take it with you". The Board is filled with threads of those selling their stuff. Why buy it when you have to eventually get rid of it unless you have a really big coffin to put the stuff in?

. I've seen well over 3000 Broadway shows since 1964 and I have every single Playbill. Right now they're in a 6-foot bookcase in my living room but I'm thinking I can use that space for other things. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with collecting souvenirs and programs and ticket stubs but just be advised at some point in your life you may wonder why you have it.

My point exactly Dolly. I have so many cast albums I will never listen to a fraction of them . This is why I no longer buy them.

I used to buy every cast album that was released. The last one I bought was for the On The Town revival and I must say I love it!

If I like a show I will buy a mug (especially if it's a cute design). They are functional and good conversation pieces. Sometimes I buy magnets.
If a Playbill is signed or important to me I put it in a sleeve in a binder, otherwise they go in a storage bin to likely eventually get purged.

If they would take it, I would donate everything to Goodspeed. If not, I will find someplace else to donate them. You do not think of it when younger but have to face it when you start getting older.

One of the best ways I found to store my Playbills and programs was in comic book long boxes. I bag and board them like I would a comic book and then store them in the long boxes. You can easily order the supplies on Amazon. Otherwise, I know that Midtown Comics keeps quite a bit in stock.
