I know that there was a thread on this, but it didn't really answer any questions. Has anyone gotten the front row rush recently and exactly how early do those front row seats usually sell out? Thanks!

I got there (on a Saturday morning about 3 weeks ago) and got first row dead center seats for the matinee [all student rush is first row]and I got there at about 10:30am and there was no line...but they are nearing closing so I would probably be there right when the Box office opens at 10 just to be safe.
FYI- They also sell other parts of the house for rush. I went to a Wednesday matinee during previews and was given side rear orchestra. I also went last Friday and attempted to get tickets on my lunch break, but was told to come back at 6. According to the box office guy they do student rush in the morning for the front row and then again two hours prior to curtain. My seat last Friday was in row B of the rear mezzanine house left. The view was still great from up there. Really the only bad seats in the house might be the boxes.
i got there about noon on a wednesday and got 2 box seats.
Only half-related, but has any of the cast been known to come out the stagedoor after two-show day matinees? I'm assuming Rush stays inside with all that makeup.

I got there about 1015 last Fri morn and got probably the last 2 front row center seats (2 at the end of the center which were prob. sold last).
I bet these might be a lot harder after G. Rush prob. wins Tony on Sun eve, and there's only 1 week left, right?
btw, I'm sure front row is better than a lot of other seats, but it's not ideal for this show, the stage is a bit high and a lot of the action is right at the front of the stage so you're looking way up and ping ponging back + forth a lot. Plus Rush spits a lot! Plus for no reason they put these big black iron squares in front of the foot mikes that could block part of yr view.
I got there at 9:45 today and there were maybe 25 people in front of me already. I still got a ticket for the matinee, but they were telling people who wanted the evening to check back at 6 because the front row rush seats had already sold out.
