I am thinking about doing the lotto for the show tonight and was just wondering how the cast is holding up. I do know that some of the originals are still with the show.
Just to give you a sense of how long it has been since I had seen the show. When I was last there Lin was winding down his stint in it.

Posted: 12/7/09 at 10:41amI haven't seen it since the original cast, but I know that someone I know named Gabrielle Ruiz is now in the show and she is fantastic! She covers Vanessa, Nina, and Carla. If you ever hear that she's going in for any of those roles I would definitely run to the Richard Rodgers. I NEED to make it over there to see her.

I had seen him when he was Lin's understudy. Only saw him go on that once, but, still I loved his performance and had been looking forward to going back at some point now that he is doing the role full time.

I saw the show twice, once on Lin’s last day and once in September. I don't think any cast can top the OBC, but I think it's still in great shape. Chris Jackson, Mandy Gonzalez, and Andrea Burns are the power three, as I call it, for me. I would include Janet Dacal in there too making it the power 4, but she's no longer there. 
And I cannot comment on the new Carla.
Olga and Priscilla Lopez are amazing of course, but their understudies are fabulous too. The last time I saw Blancha as Abuella and Doreen as Camilla and both were incredible. I saw Olga and Priscilla the first time I saw it. All four ladies are incredibly talented.
Robin de Jesus is a delight, although sometimes he gets too silly for my taste which is almost annoying. But he has a lot of hilarious moments too.
Marcy Harriell is the only weak link to me. I disliked her performance both times. I haven’t seen Javier because he was out. I was lucky to catch Jon Rua as Usnavi and he was amazing. I would love to see Jon again, but wouldn’t mind seeing Javier or the other understudy.
The rest of the cast is serviceable. The new Graffiti Pete is fine, though not as great of dancer as Seth Stewart. The guy who plays Kevin is just okay. Um… am I forgetting anyone? lol. Hope that helps.
I apologize for not typing everybody’s name. I’m blanking on a couple names and some I can’t spell and playbill.com is crapping out on me to look them all up.

Posted: 12/7/09 at 12:48pmI just saw this again recently and I thought Rick Negron was a huge improvement over the original actor as the dad. His scenes were very tender and made his family more appealing in the show.

Posted: 12/7/09 at 2:05pmtaylorPHENMENON- I'm assuming you saw Gabrielle Ruiz in the role of Vanessa, which would make me very sad to hear you didn't enjoy her. I haven't been able to see her in this show yet, but I thought she was fantastic in the tour of A Chorus Line.

Per his facebook, Jonathan Rua is on for Javier tonight as Usnavi.
I know it's 6:30 but if you got tix, report back on how he does. I really enjoyed his Sonny back in October.

Why shouldn't they care?
Marcy is out this week so Courtney is on and supposably she is great. Jon is going on tonight as Usnavi and he is fantastic. Javier is out more then he is in but his understudies are great. Chris is always in and gets better every time I see him. Robin does get a little silly for me as well, Jon Rua is great in the role. Courtney is nothing special as Carla. Marcy needs to leave now.

Because your question was stupid. They want to know if the cast has had good attendance lately, your comment was uncalled for and stupid. They wanted to know, that is why they care.
You obviously don't understand that on BWW that is an acceptable question. If you didn't have a valid answer then don't say anything at all.

Went a few weeks back on Janet Dacal's last weekend. She and Andrea Burns remained fantastic, as did Olga Merediz (how are performances sustained this long?). Chris Jackson was out (and missed, by me) but I thought Mandy Gonzalez was, if anything, stronger even than I'd seen her be before. Very impressed.
Robin DeJesus was out too, also missed. Javier Munoz was charming, but I'm spoiled for life from all the times I'd seen Lin-Manuel Miranda star in his own show.
Great dancing ensemble, still, with some terrific new blood firing up the stage.
