I am looking for tix to "Magical Thinking". Is front row left of center too close. I want to be as close to Vanessa as possible but wondered if left front row was too close based on the height of the stage and blocking. To anyone who has seen the show or knows the theatre, can you lend some insight. Thanks.

I was further back so I don't know how high the stage is, but I'd think you'd be alright... Of course, I didn't mind cramping my neck at the Music Box during TVH, so I may not be the best judge.

I think this is the one case where closer is better...she's truly brilliant in the show.

I was 7th row center, and it was heaven.

Munk, I guess I will just crane my neck if I need to. One of my favorite actresses and one of my favorite books. I just can't wait.

But to answer your question, the stage isn't really high. I didn't notice it at all.

"How high is the stage at the Booth Theatre?"

Depends on how much it's had to smoke.

Go for it! That sounds like my exact seat, the stage was not too high at all, it was absolutely perfect. She was also very sweet about signing playbills and talking to folks afterward; I have to admit I was really awed when we spoke and she took my hands in hers at the stage door....

I was just wondering, how is Row BB on the far right? Like seat 2 on the aisle? I don't know, but are the side rows close to the stage, or are you looking at the stage from a weird angle?
Thanks for the help, I just need to get 1 more ticket for closing :)

I sat in the second row center and it was fine I didnt notice the stage at all In fact since most of the action takes place center stage you might just get a little crinch in your neck from the turning action rather than the lifting action

Joan Didion the author of the piece sat in the first row and I didnt hear her complain

BB 2 is real good if you can get it dont go to much higher than 3 or 4 unless you go a little further backwards

You will definitely enjoy Ms Redgraves performance

Enjoy the closing
