How is In The Heights?

From what I'm hearing, it seems like it could be sort of like the "new Rent". What do others think? Has anybody seen it yet?

do a search as its been posted several times. i wouldnt say that its the new Rent at all, as it was very unfocused and mildy entertaining. if you must see it, see it while the seats are low priced.

Yes, hardly the new Rent. Trish is right, it had a few nice moments, but it is largely unfocused and needs a lot of work.

saw it tonight...I thought it was visually fantastic and totally original. It wasn't overdone at all. see it

For the people who saw early previews of In the Heights, I urge you to go back.. they have replaced two songs, tightened the book, and changed some musical number endings/new choreography. it is getting better and better!
