Will be in NYC the first weekend of December and want to see "Mamma Mia" again because of Carolee C - she's amazing! The only seats that are popping up with various discounts from Playbill, Broadwaybox, Theatremania, etc......is front row Mezz. No Orchestra seats are coming up.
The Winter Garden is a big house. Would front row Mezz be too far back?
Yup... too damn far. You'll see the entire stage perfectly but don't hope or expect to see much detail, especially in the actor's faces.
The first (and only) time I sat in the front mezzanine (first row, dead center) for any show was at the Winter Garden to see Dee Hoty in MAMMA MIA! At least I know she was there but I could barely see her.
I have sat in the side mezz before for Mamma Mia and I have had no trouble seeing the actors faces at all. I would think that front row Mezz would be a great seat.
