I was not able to attend the giveaway today, but can anyone comment on how the cd is?

it's great quality obviously. the orchestrations are fabulous... pretty much the same as in the theatre... i think the score in general was aided by the audience's reactions and laughter, so to me it loses a little on cd, but it's still a great sophomore effort by david yazbeck with some pretty great talents...
I love ittttt.

I adore it! There isn't as much ad libbing as I would have like, but it's still really fun!
Hearing and seeing "Give them What They Want" the other nite on QVC made me realize how good the score really is..can;t get that melody out of my head right now!

Oooh! Forgot to mention! John's messge is hysterical! (Of course!)
LOVE. IT!
Although I do agree that it IS better with audience reactions, going with apdarcey there.
So it is the full cd?
Yes, except for some apparently cut songs that'll be on the "real" one.
I thought that A Message From John Lithgow was sooo funny. "I'm a bit of a clothes horse".
Underscored and everything, I might add.

Yeah Emcee... I'm kinda wondering what those tracks are... this CD looks complete besides "extras" of some sort.

all the songs that were on the show when i saw it in march are on this cd...
not exactly true. it's missing the reprise of "What Was a Woman To Do?"... and the "entr'acte" if that counts...

oh i guess... are those going to be on the "real" cd?
Not that it's quite the same but both times I started the CD, the first notes of the orchestra I was expecting "Alive" from J&H OBC to come on. I listened more closely and it's not the same, just sounds a tad similar. Interesting note. And yes, the John Litghow note is pretty funny.
love it love it love it.....
(haha Joana Gleason is on this episode of friends i am watching right now...)

That John Lithgow's message will be on the other CD too?
I hope so it's fun and in line with the tounge-in-cheek spirit of the show. Actually it's just the sort of touch that I would have expected, as a proud owner of The Album Of The Soundtrack Of The Trailer Of The Film Of Monty Python And The Holy Grail, from Spamalot, but then all of my other Spamalot expectations have been disappointed.
I just listend to the cd for the first time and since I have not seen the show yet, I decided to follow the directions.
I think I'm going to try and see the show next week.
The CD is just wonderful
The cast sounds Perfect.
Sherie is my fav.
it sounds like recycled full monty in my opinion.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it!
