And if anyone knows... how much do directors and stage managers make?
Thesea are union positions. With a little resesarch on their unions, you should be able to find out minimums at the least. Just remember, that every position is negotiated. The bigger your name & more your experience the higher your paycheck.
The respective unions to look into are...
For music directors:
The American Federation of Musicians (http://www.afm.org/) is the overall union. If you want something more specific, try Local 802 (http://www.local802afm.org/), the NYC chapter, which enforces all union Broadway contracts. All Broadway musicians are members of the Local 802 AFM.
For directors:
The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (http://www.sdcweb.org/) is the relevant union.
For stage managers:
Actors' Equity (http://www.actorsequity.org/), as it turns out, manages not just actors in theatre, but also stage managers.
Happy researching!
