How often?

How often do some of the long-running 'big' productions such as "POTO, Lion King, BATB, etc." change their sets and costumes as the grow old and become more and more used. This is may be a stupid question but I know a show can't have the same set for 10+ years, so any one with the inside post please.

I would assume that they are changed as needed, like if something breaks or if it doesnt work properly. I doubt that they regularly change entire sets.
As for costumes, the same. Sometimes new actors in a part would get new versions, or again if it starts to look old. I again doubt if they regularly change them
Sorry that post was a bit pointless.

Posted: 3/23/05 at 4:54pmthe cast gets a new set of costumes for each performance... after every performance, all costumes are doused with gasoline and burned at the broadway headquarters. Sets are replaced once a month and when each set is removed, it is sold to whichever high school is currently doing that show since they decided to stage it three days after it opened on broadway.
