If rmposey was 8, then I guess I was about 3 at the time. The night my mother purchased the cast recording of Phantom of the Opera is actually one of my earliest memories (who'da thunk?). Of course, my mother says she was watching the Cary Grant Cole Porter biography while in labor with me, so I guess the Broadway love actually began in the womb.
14. My uncle took me to see Anne Baxter in "Applause" - we were visting NY relatives. I'll never forget it. By the time they got to "But Alive" I was absolutely mesmerized.
10. "cats" when i was in 6th grade on a school trip. i was hooked.

When I was 6, I saw Beauty and the Beast and loved it. When I was 10, I saw Kiss Me, Kate with Brian and Marin , and that's when the obsession began...
you got to go to a show with school? LUCKY! PPAS doesnt even provide that! (thats where i go, you know, The Proffessional Performing Arts School of NY)
Well, the first stage show I saw was Les Mis in London when I was 17 (years ago!) and was instantly hooked. To this day it's my favorite musical. But I've always loved The Sound of Music and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and have been watching those on TV since I was four.

I was ten and my favorite aunt took me to NYC see Beauty and the Beast a few months after it opened. It was an amazing expierence and I will never forget it!!! I have been hooked on the show ever since and Beauty is one of the reasons I want to work in the theatre.
