Just read this entertaining article about Belasco & his "Apt." that appears in THE NEW YORKER by Nick Paumgarten.
Interesting to note that there is no elevator to the Balcony or Mezz, but that "Father" Belasco had one going to his "Apt."
Since there is no "Roof Garden" like those of yesteryear, indeed I read that there was a night club atop the Chrysler Bldg., how's 'bout turning the "Belasco Apt into a top notch night club ala the Carlyle, Rainbow & Stars, etc.?

A Bway Haunt
The air conditioning ducts for the auditorium cut through the apartment. It doesn't seem like it would be possible to do anything with the space.
Drat! What a picture tho.
However, I can't tell how many ft. fr the floor the AC ducts are. Maybe some enterprising/imaginative architecht could turn it in to an interesting feature...

This one is creepier. Isn't it nice how the Shubert Organization has kept it in such fine condition?
It sort of reminds me of the set for the Broadway production of The Wild Party.

Thats so bad that its just falling apart like that. I wish they could do something with it, but I dont think there is much you could do. It should be take care of, its history in a way.
