re: How to make the Tony Awards better next year

Word about teaching camera operators how to film a production number. Aside from the Drowsy moment (cutting AWAY from Sutton's "showing off" to Bob Martin... observing), the beginning of "It's Your Wedding Day" was making me so dizzy! I've seen the show twice, but the quick cuts that were mickey-moused with the song were actually making it difficult for me to see what was going on.

well, since the ratings were up over last year, the idea of splashing famous names all over the place should be a keeper. why does an awards show need a host anyway? i never understood that.

It's as if they know the show is already in the pits regarding its ratings (before it even airs), and the producers don't bother investing the money necessary to making it a better show.
